To give you an idea, recharging is often quoted as a price per 100g of refrigerant, with disinfection priced separately (e.g. €15/100g for R1234yf, ozone from €10), or as €/g plus labour.
We’ll always explain the price upfront, based on what your car actually needs.
Recharging works great when the system is sealed. But if refrigerant is leaking, “topping up” is only a temporary patch. That’s why we carry out pressure and function checks: so you know whether you just have a low charge, or whether it’s worth fixing a leak to avoid more costly failures.
Cleaning the air conditioning isn’t just about smell. A clogged evaporator reduces cooling performance, increases fuel consumption, and can be a source of bacteria and mould that you breathe in every day. We recommend combining cleaning with recharging — you’ll save both time and money. Ozone disinfection also effectively eliminates odour directly in the system, rather than just masking it.
Yes. We service systems using both R134a and R1234yf refrigerant.
For R134a systems, we use the STARLINE CLEVER PLUS2 automatic recharging machine; for R1234yf systems, we use the SPIN MATTEO machine. Both devices work automatically — they extract the remaining old refrigerant, precisely measure the new charge, and check for leaks. We don’t recharge “by eye,” but according to the vehicle manufacturer’s specification.
We’ll first explain where the leak is and how significant it is. If it’s a common fault (e.g. a seal or hose), we’ll repair it on the spot. If the issue is more serious, you’ll get a clear quote — with no unnecessary pressure. We don’t recommend topping up refrigerant without fixing the leak: the refrigerant will be lost again and the compressor could be damaged.
In most cases, yes. Ozone effectively eliminates bacteria and mould that build up in the evaporator and cause that typical “musty” smell when you turn on the A/C. Disinfection takes about 30–60 minutes, and we recommend combining it with regular air conditioning servicing at least once a year, ideally in spring before the summer season.
A standard service — pressure check, recharging and cleaning — usually takes 45 to 90 minutes depending on the system’s condition. If a repair or diagnostics is needed, it may take longer. We’ll give you an accurate estimate after the initial inspection.
Ideally in spring, before the summer season starts — so in April or May. That way you’ll avoid queues and the risk of your air conditioning failing during the hottest weather. Of course, we provide servicing year-round — if you have a problem now, there’s no need to wait.
